Fine Arts
Interested in the arts? We have opportunities for Fine Arts majors, of course, but we also encourage non-majors to participate in our productions and ensembles.

fine arts Arts Management
For those of you who love the arts but have more of a talent for management, we also offer arts management — a unique blend of business, communications, and fine arts. The program, one of only three in the country, prepares graduates to run fine arts organizations after graduation. You can take it as a major or a minor.

Several choirs and instrumental ensembles are available; most select through auditions. Performance tours are scheduled annually.

Studio classes are open to both majors and non-majors. Every art student is encouraged to enter work in the Student Honors Art Show, on exhibit every April in our Mabee Gallery. By enrolling in art courses, non-majors are developing life-long skills. Once a student's career is established (in areas such as accounting, business, teaching, criminal justice, etc.) we hope they start drawing, painting, and taking photographs in their spare time. Culver-Stockton also helps students on their way to careers as a studio artist, art teacher, or graphic designer.

theatreTheatre
Culver-Stockton stages five plays each year — including a show featuring a guest artist who is a professional actor — as well as an opera theatre workshop and student-directed one act plays. In the first two years of participating in the Kennedy Center-sponsored regional theater festival, more than 15 C-SC students have been selected to compete regionally. In addition to numerous acting opportunities, the productions are always in need of volunteers who can design and build scenery, create props, do the lighting, paint, and costume the shows. We have three stage venues of various sizes, including a black box theatre.
